Principal Investigator
Casey T. Weaver, MD
Wyatt & Susan Haskell Professor of Medical Excellence in the Departments of Pathology & Microbiology, University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Weaver received his BS and MD from the University of Florida and completed residency and postdoctoral training at Barnes Hospital and Washington University.
His lab helped define the Th17 lineage of CD4 T cells, and his work has shaped the modern understanding of mucosal immunity and inflammation. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a co-author of Janeway's Immunobiology.
